RETURN POLICY
At Irohas Photo, we are committed to ensuring your satisfaction with our products and services. This Return Policy outlines the conditions under which returns, exchanges, and refunds are accepted, in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
1. Consumer Guarantees
Under Australian Consumer Law, our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
2. Eligibility for Returns and Exchanges
- Cameras and Equipment
- Defective Items: If the camera or equipment you purchase is defective, you may return it within 30 days of purchase for a replacement or refund. The defect must be confirmed by our team upon inspection.
- Second-Hand Cameras and Accessories: Due to the nature of second-hand film cameras and associated parts and accessories, these items are sold "as is." Refunds and exchanges are only available if the item is defective within the 1-month limited warranty period from the purchase date. Defects must be reported and confirmed by our team within this period.
- Change of Mind: We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind, so please choose your products carefully.
- Film
- Defective Film: If the film you purchase is found to be defective, you may return it for a replacement or refund. This must be reported within 7 days of purchase, and the defect will be assessed by our team.
- Developed Film: Due to the nature of film processing, we do not offer refunds or exchanges on film once it has been developed, except where required by law.
- General Policy: No refunds or exchanges are provided on film unless the film is defective or otherwise stated at the time of purchase.
- Other Products
- Non-defective products that are returned must be in their original condition, unused, and in the original packaging. Such returns are only accepted within 7 days of purchase, and a restocking fee may apply.
3. Return Process
To initiate a return, please follow these steps:
- Contact our customer service team at info@irohasphoto.com to request a return authorization. Please include your order number, details of the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return.
- Once your return request is approved, you will receive instructions on how to send the item(s) back to us.
- Returned items must be shipped back to us within 7 days of receiving the return authorization. We recommend using a trackable shipping service, as we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
4. Assessment of Returned Items
All returned items will be inspected upon receipt. If the returned item is found to be ineligible for a refund or exchange (e.g., non-defective, used, damaged due to misuse), we will notify you, and the item will be returned to you at your expense.
5. Refunds
- Approved Returns: Once your return is approved, we will process your refund to your original payment method. Please allow up to 10 business days for the refund to be processed and appear in your account.
- Shipping Costs: Refunds will include the original cost of the product(s) and any shipping costs if the return is due to our error (e.g., defective product). If the return is for any other reason, shipping costs are non-refundable.
- Restocking Fees: In some cases, a restocking fee may be deducted from your refund. You will be informed of any applicable fees when your return request is approved.
6. Exchanges
If you wish to exchange an item for a different product, please follow the return process outlined above and indicate that you would like an exchange. Exchanges are subject to product availability.
7. Non-Returnable Items
Certain items are not eligible for return, including:
- Gift cards
- Sale or clearance items
- Custom orders or personalised items
8. Faulty Goods
If you receive a product that you believe is faulty, please contact us immediately at info@irohasphoto.com. We will guide you through the assessment process and, if deemed faulty, will arrange for a replacement, repair, or refund in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
9. Goods Damaged in Transit
If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt. We may require photographs of the damage to assist with a claim to the shipping carrier. We will arrange for a replacement or refund as quickly as possible.
